Toddler Needs You! | |
This sweet little boy with brown hair and brown eyes is almost two years old and is ready to call you Mom or Dad. He was born very prematurely but is making great progress. He is walking and is beginning to speak. The doctor in country will consult with the family about this little boy's medical history.
A video, pictures, and a medical are all available to paper ready families who are interested in adopting this little boy. Two short trips are anticipated to complete the adoption.
CAS has several waiting children. See more on the Waiting Children page. For questions about waiting children, contact Angela Jackson, our waiting child coordinator. She will be able to guide you through the different programs and application. |

Greetings!
A new year offers new beginnings. We are hopeful that this year will bring good things to all. Thank you to all who opened their hearts during year-end giving and supported the children.
There are many events in January for families to celebrate heritage or learn about adoption. Families who adopted from Asia are looking forward to the Lunar New Year and the community activities available. Families who adopted from Eastern Europe enjoy Father Frost celebrations in January. Look for adoption information events throughout January to help jump start your journey.

Vietnam Signs Hague
Vietnam has recently signed the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation. Families are warned NOT to start an adoption from Vietnam. Vietnam has not reopened to adoptions and it will take significant time for the country to fully implement the Convention. It took the U.S. 12 years to implement the same Convention. In the past, the U.S. has opened and closed adoptions from Vietnam twice. We strongly suspect the U.S. will be extremely cautious in entering into yet a third agreement with Vietnam. Please continue to check our website and facebook page for updates on Vietnam's progress to reopen adoptions. |
